Robert (Phil) Brown:

Phil and his wife, Nancy, are parents of three children and two grandchildren.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University (WMU), where he was also commissioned as an Army 2d Lieutenant. After his oldest daughter's birth and a tour in Vietnam , he obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School while finishing his obligation in the Army Reserve.

After his twin son and daughter were born, he completed a Doctor of Public Administration degree at WMU while serving the people of the State of Michigan for 27 years as an Assistant Attorney General.

He retired from law, started a Marine Survey business called Northeast Michigan Marine Surveys and was accepted as a member of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors.

He is also an officer, instructor and Vessel Examiner for the United States Power Squadrons, and an IAMI Certified Marine Investigator.
